Saturday, November 2

10am-1pm at Temescal Creek Park

Golden Gate Bird Alliance led us in exploring our local birds and the Temescal Creek watershed ecosystem. They also led us on a nature walk to explore the area and learn about  Emeryville’s underground creek, past and present, and be inspired by its potential in the future! Parents enjoyed FREE coffee and tea, all generously donated by Emeryville's very own Ruby's Cafe!

11am-4pm Emeryville Harvest Festival at Huchiun Park

We enjoyed meeting all the families that came by our pop-up booth at this annual festival to get creative with our Create-with-Nature materials! We were also so grateful to be joined by Lindsay Wildlife Experience and their live gopher snake and acorn woodpecker!

Saturday, September 7

9:30am-12:30pm  at Christie Park / Whale Playground

We were joined by East Bay Regional Park District Naturalists as they explored the differences between reptiles, amphibians, and humans.  It was a real treat to meet their real reptiles! There was also plenty of creative nature play and plant fun with Plantify!

Saturday, August 24 - First Pop-up in Series!

10am-1pm at Doyle-Hollis Park

Our first pop-up of the series was joined by Plantify for an investigation of the plant cycle, plant anatomy, and the benefits of native plants on our local ecosystem. The unseasonal rain did not stop kids (or adults!) from also exploring and creating with our natural materials!

Nature Pop-up at Emeryville Healthy Families Festival and Egg Hunt, March 23, 2024

Our first official Nature Pop-up was a great success. It was held at the Emeryville's spring festival at Doyle-Hollis Park. Festival attendees of all ages enjoyed the Create-with-Nature kit that has since been donated to ECCL. We enjoyed meeting many families and residents and sharing information about our mission and goals. So many signed up for our mailing list to join our community, confirming that nature is a major priority in our city!
